Blog Question Challenge 2025
Gijs challenged me to accept the "Blogging Challenge 2025". Here is my take.
Why did you start blogging in the first place?
To publish a French translation of Tim Wu's article "Why You Should Care About Network Neutrality?" (The author was kind enough to give me permission for publishing this.)
What platform are you using to manage your blog, and why do you use it?
Have you blogged on other platforms before?
I used blogspot for a while, where a friend and I shared news about our trip to the USA.
How do you write your posts?
I start GNU Emacs, copy an old blog post and write a new one.
When do you feel most inspired to write?
When I don't use my computer and when I read at home or in the train.
Do you normally publish immediately after writing, or do you let it simmer a bit?
I take notes for ages. I pause for a long time. Then I say to myself, "That's enough. I close the door and write until I want to read what I have written. I wait again until I want to share the post. Then I publish and share. Then I enjoy the feedback, if I get any.
What’s your favourite post on your blog?
It's this one called « I'm 10 years old. »
I was supposed to read this text at a conference, but I was ill and a good friend of mine read it for me. It was better because it was her.
